Horuiko K. Judicial system of the West-Ukrainian National Republic.

The features and organizational and legal principles of the judicial system of the West Ukrainian National Republic as well as the procedure of procedural activities of that time have been studied in the thesis. The preconditions and reasons of forming the judicial system of the West Ukrainian National Republic have been analyzed. The place and role of the judicial system in the state apparatus of that time, its interaction with the legislative and executive powers have been demonstrated. The judicial system of the West Ukrainian National Republic and its evolution under the complicated social and political conditions in 1918-1919 has been elucidated. The organizational and legal features, forms and methods of the specialized courts activities have been discovered. The structure and activity of West Ukrainian National Republic prosecuting magistracy and advocacy as well as their functional interconnections with courts have been investigated. The stages, types of proceedings, system of evidence and other procedural and legal aspects of administration of justice have been analyzed.
