Doroshyna L. National archetypes and their verbal representations in language picture of the world of Oleksander Dovzhenko.

Object - the language of the texts by Dovzhenko, including film-novels "The Charmed Desna", "Earth", "The Novel of Fiery Years", a narrative "Mother"; goal - to identify and describe features of language representation of archetypal images in the works by Olexander Dovzhenko, based on the current provisions of cognitive linguistics and text linguistics; methods - general ones - of analysis and synthesis; own linguistic ones - a structural one implemented in methods of a distributive and component analysis; a descriptive method including one of contextual analysis; taxonomic and classification methods; novelty - for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the language of literary texts by O. Dovzhenko have been examined; it has been done considering its ethnic and cultural origins, including archetypal patterns that formed the basis of verbal figures; an integrated approach to the analysis of language means of archetype expression in the writer's novels has been applied; the analysis of conceptual and theoretical foundations of the study of the archetype has been provided; based on modern principles of ethnolinguistics, the basic concepts related to the archetype study, archetypal phenomena that are basic in the study have been outlines; their characteristics have been defined; based on the theoretical works on the problems of archetypes as phenomena of ethnic culture, the classification for the chosen archetypes as for the research material has been worked out; language means marked with archetypal traits have been identified and systematized in the works by Olexander Dovzhenko; language implementation features of an archetypal Ukrainian culture concept family have been characterized, it has resulted in the following images: a) great-grandfather; b) great-grandmother; c) grandfather; d) father; e) the mother; linguistic means of ethno-cultural archetype expression have been characterized: a) top (the sky, the Moon, the stars, dawn); b) down (water, land); c) tree; d) flower; e) bird that take an important place in mythopoetic perception of the world by the Ukrainians; the role of national language features in the process of archetypal image creating has been covered; results - provisions and materials can be used for further studies of the literary texts from the point of view of semantics, lexicology, ethnolinguistics, as well as in the educational process - in teaching courses and special courses of lexicology, Ukrainian language stylistics, language culture, to conduct special seminars on linguistic studies of culture, linguistic analysis of literary text, special seminars on Ukrainian language at philological departments; field - linguistics.
