Object: a collection for children and youth by M. Vingranovskyi and a set of literary and critical research studying his "children's" heritage. Objective: to find out the artistic specific features of works for younger recipient by M. Vingranovskyi, define the problem of reader's reception. Practical value: the results of the research can be used for preparation of the children's literature and the history of Ukrainian literature of the twentieth century courses in high schools; used by specialists in children's reading in further research and educational practice. Methods: comparative-historical, typological, structural-semiotic, biographical, hermeneutic, narratological.
