Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the implementation of complex studies that have established laws and rational conditions of deep removal chloro- and nitroderivatives of phenol from water in the processes of long-term biofiltration of its solutions through a layer of biologically active carbon with spontaneously formed native biofilm. It is first shown that biologically active carbon with natively formed biofilm demonstrates their high removal efficiency of for a long period, and also, that the modification of active carbon by iron oxides intensifies the development and functioning of the biofilm and increases efficiency of biofiltration on stationary purification step.
