Essay

It is the pharmacognostic study performed of the herb: Thymus vulgaris L. and Thymus tauricus Klok. et Shost. Maximal concentrations of essential oils and thymol for purveyance of the herbs Thymus L. possesing anti-inflammatory,healing and antibacterialantibacterial properties were determined at the end of flowering.Specific morphologic and anatomic diagnostic features of raw materials of plants studied have been established. Technology of producing and standardization of lyophilic extract from the herb has been elaborated. It has been determined the high efficiency of anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and healing activity of essential oil, lyophilic extract and ointment on the hydrophilic basis PEО 400 : 1500 (2:8) of essential oils.
