Object: texts of Y. Andrukhovych "The Secret", "Lexicon of Intimate Cities", "The Chronic Orpheus", "Disorientation on Location", "The Devil is Hiding in the Cheese"; V. Slapchuk's "Autumn in Cheek", "Wild Flowers", "The Book of Oblivion", "The Curse", "The Flight of Clockwork Cuckoo over its Nest", "Between the Warrior's Way and Tao". Goal: determining the role and importance of subjective author motif in the postmodernity texts of Y. Andrukhovych and V. Slapchuk. Practical value: obtained results can be embedded in the learning process and as a resource for compilers of anthologies. Methods: analysis, synthesis, receptive aesthetic, partially methodology of structuralism, hermeneutics, narratology.
