Kozar M. Design of technology for biological treatment of wastewater from the phosphorus compounds in the system of anaerobic-aerobic bioreactors.

Based on the analysis of literature data the feasibility of using biological methods of wastewater treatment from phosphates was proved. In addition, there were reasons identified that cause deficiencies of classical biological treatment technology of wastewater treatment with high concentrations of phosphate. Investigations were carried out on an experimental operation-performing device using bioreactors with immobilized microorganisms and activated sludge. The device was based on the scheme of biological treatment system with anaerobic-aerobic bioreactors. Reasonable technologies of wastewater treatment from phosphates have been suggested together with technological parameters of bioreactors, which are needed for the technology integration on wastewater treatment stations. The expediency of using developed technology has been verified by technical and economic calculations. Moreover, the proposed technique is more environmentally friendly.
