Gryshyna O. Technology of the communicative Testing Future Engineers’ English reading

The thesis deals with the problem of communicative testing the future engineers’ competence in foreign reading for specific purposes. The technique of communicative testing has been theoretically grounded and practically developed. The features of the communicative approach to testing the future engineers’ foreign reading competence are specified and ways of its realization have been crucially defined. The linguistic features of scientific speech material for testing communicative competence have been described. The structure of the sub-test for summative testing has been suggested. The technology of the communicative testing has been theoretically proved and developed in terms of the communicative approach. Effectiveness of the proposed technology has been verified during the experimental teaching and testing. Methodological recommendations have been developed and introduced.
