Essay

The thesis is devoted to the bitumen modification by the epoxide of rapeseed oil. In this work was improved the method of producing of epoxidized rapeseed oil. It was created method and optimal conditions for bitumen modification by the epoxide of rapeseed oil. It was established that bitumen modification using ERO leads to improved properties of modified bitumen regardless of its brand. Introduction of 3% ERO to the bitumen increases strength of asphalt concrete at its base at the temperature of 293 K in 1.5 times and in 2 times at the temperature of 323 K, compared with asphalt concrete based on bitumen without additives.
