The paper is selected and scientifically proved the most efficient method for the synthesis of zirconium (IV) oxide nanocomposites "zirconium (IV) oxide - activated coal" for sorbents with acceptable performance. In the experimental studies the process of different nature extracting pollutants (heavy metals, phosphates, dichromates) was firstly identified and scientifically rational technological conditions of the sorption process interpreted for industrial wastewater treatment using nanocomposites "zirconium (IV) oxide - activated coal".
