The thesis is devoted to the study of psychological peculiarities of older preschool age children music-imaginative thinking development, the essence of its three-level structure was determined, and creation of conditions for its optimization in the process of educational activity. The work presents the analysis of theoretical-methodological and experimental approaches concerning the problem of music-imaginative thinking in foreign and native psychology. Conceptual foundation of studying of older preschool age children music-imaginative thinking is offered. Tree-stage structure, criteria and levels of music-imaginative thinking were experimentally studied and characterized. The relationship between parameters of its assessment and correlation development was found. The complex of guidelines directed on effectiveness of older preschoolers' music-imaginative thinking development was designed.
