Shalatsky D. Speech strategies of reproach in the modern Ukrainian political discourse

The research analyzes the speech act of reproach, whose illocutive target lies in the speaker's expression of a negative emotional and evaluative attitude towards the opponent and the indication of the recipient's fault. The position of statements of reproach among other speech acts of negative assessment is established. The act of self-reproach is determined as specific to political communication of expressing negative assessment. Lexical-semantic groups of naming the recipient in speech strategies of reproach are identified. Verbal means of speech strategies of reproach representation by figures of speech, metaphorical phrases, estimative lexis, and phraseological units are systematized. Discursive particular characteristics of the reproach strategy in the political discourse are identified and analyzed.
