Essay

The information technology for improvement of the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based sensors sensitivity is developed, which relies upon the algorithm for minimum determination, suppression of the thermal fluctuations noise and improved sensitive element fabrication technology. The spatial structure of polyaniline films is studied and the model of films formation is proposed, based on the investigation of optical parameters - dependence of refraction index and extinction coefficient vs. the film thickness with an SPR method. Kinetic concentration dependencies for calixarene films (tert-butylcalix[4,6,8]arene and tetra-pentylcalix[4]resorcinolarene) interacting with volatile molecules of ethanol, pentanol, methanol and isopropanol are investigated using the SPR method and interference colorimetry of the reflected light. The sensor prototype with digital registration of RGB components variations in the array of interference-colored sensitive calixarene films deposited on Silicon substrate is developed, intended for detection and recognition of gaseous molecules of alcohols, consisting of the MIM-8M microscope, color CCD video camera and personal computer setup
