Medved' M. Structure, Semantics and Functioning of Terms of Publishing-Polygraphic Production in Modern Ukrainian Literary Language.

The thesis deals with the study of structure, semantics and functioning of terms of publishing-polygraphic production in Modern Ukrainian Literary Language. The complex approach to the research of the Ukrainian publishing-polygraphic terms of the end of the 20-th - the beginning of the 21-st century is based on the theoretical statements and methodological principles of modern linguistics. The sources of publishing-polygraphic terminology have been ascertained, the extra- and intralinguistic factors that influenced its rapid replenishment in the indicated period have been revealed. Its modern classification has also been suggested as far as its origin is concerned. On the basis of the empirical material analysis (card index contains more than 1200 terms) basic structural models of forming new publishing-polygraphic terms have been represented, the spheres of their functioning in language have been revealed, the interconnection with the terms of other branches of science and engineering have been ascertained.
