The thesis deals with development of new approaches to assess thrombus formation (TF) risk and recurrence risk after cardioversion in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) by comprehensive assessment of structural and functional state of the atria and their appendages using transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiography.
