Soldatenko S. Legal interest: General characteristics.

The dissertation is devoted to a complex research of legal interest. The author examines the nature of the legal interest, its relationship with neighboring legal categories. It is concluded that the legal interest is the basis of the legal regulation of social relations. It is noted that the legal interest affects various spheres of life as a state of society and the person. Proved that the private interest is provided by the principles of freedom of contract, autonomy, and its protection is mainly by the initiative of individuals. Indicated that the optimal ratio of public and private interests in the social practice and legal regulation is a necessary condition for the harmonious development of society, the individual, the more effective functioning of the state. Grounded position on recognition in the context of globalization especially significant national interest as a specific kind of public-interest law. Deals that the national interest is fundamental to the nation-state and its protection is a fundamental need and responsibility of the state.
