Essay

The thesis is dedicated to enhancing the stability of the results of orthodontic treatment of dentalfacial anomalies with Angle class II by correcting occlusal relationship between dental arches during and after orthodontic treatment. The effective method to eliminate possible complications after orthodontic treatment is a method of selective grinding or restoration of supporting cusps of occlusal surface of the teeth under the control of X-ray studies and EMG studies. Outcome with acceptable occlusion of the proposed method was found in 80.6 % of cases. Improvement was noted with all patients of groups B (patients with dysfunctional symptoms and cusp to cusp molar relationship, pathological abrasion, sagittal slit, dual bite), group D (patients with cusp to cusp molar relationship, but without dysfunctional symptoms), and 33.3 % of patients from the group A. The 8.3 % of patients from the group A remained pain on palpation of the masticatory muscles.
