Trykhlib K. Harmonization of Ukrainian legislation and EU law: approximation of general legal terminology.

The author has analyzed different approaches to the determination of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation and EU law, emphasized on the role of general legal terminology in the process of approximation of the legislation of Ukraine to the EU, the main aspects of harmonization of domestic and European law have been characterized. An analysis of different concepts, that are used to characterize the legal integration, has been carried out. The advisability of the term "harmonization of the legislation of Ukraine and the EU" as the most extensive to disclose the content of legal integration, and also the preliminary and full stages of legislation's harmonization have been proven in this thesis. It has been focused, that the approximation of general legal terminology of Ukraine to European law terminology is the main instrument of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation and EU law, which furthers the formation of conceptually common approaches to the European legal thinking and the regulation of public relations based on the Rule of law, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. A comprehensive research of formation and development, interpretation and correlation of Ukrainian and European general legal terminology, first of all such terms, as "right", "law", "Rule of law", "law-governed state", "human rights" has been carried out.
