Kulibaba A. The Language of Arabic song of the Eastern Mediterranean.

The present thesis looks at the linguistic specificity in a set of the Arabic song lyrics belonging to the Eastern Mediterranean region from the point of their dialectal, pragmatic and semantic perspective. Basing our discussion on pragmatic communicational genre models interpretation, we present the profile of the Arabic song lyrics' of the Eastern Mediterranean as a communicative framework that is determined by the speakers' positions and as an ethnography of Arabic communication. Also we describe the similarity of the dialectal features revealed in the song lyrics of the 4 Arabic countries related to the Eastern Mediterranean (t.i. Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine). The many examples discussed demonstrate the distinctive sociolinguistic and pragmatic potential. The specific implementations of the speaker's language were discovered according to his communicative position referred to the speaker's intention, communicational tone and symmetry/asymmetry of language production and comprehension, phaticity of the verbal message. As well as we highlighted the expressive language resources in Arabic song lyrics, such as clich?s, paronomasias, interjections.
