Essay

The problem of the legal bases of the activity of the orphan courts in Tavrida province investigates in the dissertation. In the work definitely, that orphans courts have been established in the region together with other power bodies of the Russian Empire according to the code of the provinces 1775 and other regulations. Their functions were to ensure the interests of young orphans, widows, disabled, protection of the interests of the treasury in cases without hereditary and abandoned property, maintenance of claims on the estates of the deceased from the treasury, private individuals and organizations.
