Blidchenko-Nike V. Genre and artistic features of polyphonic prose in the Ukrainian Early Modernism.

In the thesis: the specific character of compositive polyphonic poetry as against the short story and the short-short story has been interpreted; the synthesis of the epos, lyric and drama with the dominance of a lyric and meditative component has been revealed; the difference from the prosody has been established; the expressive and action-stimulating properties have been elucidated; the objective laws of the emergence of polyphonic poetry in the Ukrainian Early Modernism have been substantiated. The structural features of the polyphonic poetry in the prose of Hryts'ko Htuhorenko, Olha Kobylianska, M. Kotsjubynskyi, Uliana Kravchenko, V. Stefanik, H. Khotkevych, Dniprova Chaika, Marko Cheremshina, M. Yatskiv and others have been analyzed in the specific historical environment of the Ukrainian literature at the turn of XIX and XX centuries.
