Essay

This thesis is devoted to the analysis of computer simulation becoming the aesthetization strategy for information environment which results in creating virtual reality. Aesthetic aspects of computer simulation are studied by analyzing computer game as a form of human play activity in Postmodern era. Information technologies make a computer game the most authentic part of the process of shaping the virtualization of reality. Particular attention is focused on the importance of computer simulation in the field of cinema that most accurately is traced in the logic of the "image-perception" transforming into the "image-action." Studying aesthetic aspects of computer simulation pushes the boundaries in subject field of aesthetics as an independent science which suggests to consider design and computer game a self-sufficient kind of aesthetic activity within the studies of human sensuous nature and its development.
