Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to study of features of metabolic syndrome (MetS) course in postmenopausal women. 130 patients with MetS were observed. The faetures of MetS are: more frequent combination of 4 and 5 components of MetS and higher values of body-mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) in postmenopausal period. The course of menopausal MetS is characterized of features of lipids metabolism and IIb type dyslipidemia domination, "low-grade" chronic inflammation condition . The additional prescription of Quercetin caused of strong decrease of office blood pressure, the level of endogenous intoxication; and has some immunomodulation effects. Its combination with PUFA has more positive effect for lipidogram and quality of life in postmenopausal women with MetS. Branch - Medicine.
