The thesis is devoted to the development and justification of the effectiveness of a new method of prevention of intraperitoneal postoperative complications, based on the use of new surgical suture material with antimicrobial properties and the adsorption drug with antimicrobial properties, which is inserted into the intestine before completion of the interintestinal anastomosis. Studies have shown that the introduction to the surgical suture material is made of polypropylene the antiseptic of biguanide group provides a new type of surgical suture material, which has high antimicrobial activity, does not lose its properties during sterilization and dominated by its properties as a classical polyfilament and monofilament surgical suture material has high biocompatibility with the tissues. Experimental studies showed that the developed method enables in postoperative period to prevent infection of peritoneal cavity and dominated by the traditional methods of prevention of intraperitoneal complications. Using this method the prevention of postoperative intraperitoneal complications of surgical treatment of acute surgical pathology of the small intestine allowed to decrease frequency of insolvency of anastomosis on 4,7% postoperative peritonitis - on a 6,1%, suppuration of postoperative wound - on 5,4% to decrease the amount of the repeated operative interventions - on 15,0% to bring down postoperative lethality - on 3,4% and to reduce the terms of stay of patients in permanent establishment on 4,4 bed day.
