Рavshuk K. Democratic foundations of the constitutional system.

The thesis devoted to the complex exploration of the democratic basis in the constitutional system of Ukraine. In the research it is considered the role and the place of democratic principles in the structure of modern constitutionalism, their relation to republican principle and to the principle of rule of law state in the constitutional system of Ukraine. The theories of participant's, deliberative, globalistic democracy and e-democracy and their main projections to constitutional reality of modern states are interpreted in a new way. All these determine not only the relations between such concepts as "people", "political nation", "community", but predict also methods of realization direct democracy in Ukraine, constitutional aspects of voting right, the essence of the principle of diversity, political liberty and protection of minorities. The thesis recommends the improvements in the Ukrainian legislation in the aspect of practical realization of democratic institution and norms.
