Essay

Dissertation deals with the research for the informative value of transcranial magnetic stimulation in the study of the functional state of the pyramidal pathway and analysis of the impact of repetitive transcranial and peripheral magnetic stimulation on cognitive function, motor activity, muscle tone, level of social activity, functional state of the brain and cardiovascular system in elderly patients with carotid atherothrombotic ischemic stroke. The basic parameters of transcranial magnetic stimulation have shown high sensitivity, specificity and predictive value for the diagnosis changes of the functional state of the pyramidal pathway in patients with stroke. Repetitive transcranial and peripheral magnetic stimulation in patients with ischemic stroke improves cognitive function, increases motor activity, reduces muscle tone, expanding the level of social activity, promotes the harmonization of the brain activity structures and improves functional status of the pyramidal pathway and cardiovascular system.
