Essay

Object - information streams' transfer process in the convergent telecommunication network. The objective - achievement of description adequacy, as well as increasing of the functioning efficiency and design accuracy of the convergent telecommunications networks by developing the messages streams' model and, based on it, load model and network equipment calculation method. Subject - models and methods of information distribution processes in the networks. Methods of the theories: teletraffic, telecommunication networks, queuing, information distribution and functions research. Novelty: first performed analytical formalization of message streams, which differs from the known formal representation of the random events streams for characterization by the information volume and value in the stream in addition to the messages number in the stream of time and their location in the network - that allows creation of the messages streams' model, adequately describing the information distribution processes in the convergent telecommunications network; offered formal description of the convergent telecommunications network's architecture and messages streams allowed determination of the interaction between the network and environment at the system level for the analysis and synthesis models' creating, as well as at the hardware-software level for the network design and management methods development; improved model of the load generated by the messages streams in the convergent telecommunications network allows, instead of the existing, adequately consideration of the streams' spatio-temporal structure's main characteristics at the determination of the network equipment amount; developed unified network equipment calculating method, adaptive to the service system structure and discipline, by modification of the coefficients, reflecting the nature of the information streams, creating the network load, instead of the known calculation methods, considers the basic parameters of the message streams in the convergent telecommunications network for all information transfer modes, as well as expands the scope of application and adequacy of the method. Results - convergent telecommunications networks' description adequacy is achieved, as well as its functioning efficiency and design accuracy are increased by developing the messages streams' model and, based on it, load model and network equipment calculation method. The implementation - in the activities of the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization at the main objectives formation for the creation of unified information-communication platform at the technical level and determination of the best technology option at the Decision №34 from 01.24.2013 and OJSC "Ukrainian Design and Development Institute of Information and Communication Infrastructure "Diprozvyazok".
