Essay

A comparative study of submerged, floating and terrestrial leaves were made based on morphological and anatomical features, ultrastructure of cells mesophillous, chlorophyll fluorescence intensity and pigment content. It is shown that different types of leaves differ in morphology, anatomy, mesophyll cells ultrastructure, PSII working efficiency and pigment content. The described differences attest about the adaptation of each type of leaf to the environmental conditions in which they grow.
