The concepts of 'disorder' and 'bohatyrstvo' as the fundamental 'units' of F. M. Dostoevsky's outlook and works make the research subject in the thesis. It is proved that these concepts are taken by the great novelist from N. V. Gogol and are interpreted after Gogol in the manner of 'popular etymology'. Disorder is treated by both writers as the order being established by demons whereas 'bohatyrstvo' is considered as the force being granted by the Lord for defending trust in God and for Transfiguration of faulty souls. The given conclusion is based on the comprehensive concept-analysis of all works by both writers. The model of the analysis is suggested and approved by the author of the dissertation. The author argues that the semantic kernel of writer's 'conceptions and images wholeness' under study can be reconstructed the most exactly when they are regarded as mutually conditioned elements of a single ideal and artistic formation being called concept-opposition. It is discovered that though being integral, the given structure can accumulate inside and around itself the totality of typologically close units of writer's 'conceptions and images wholeness' as well as produce further units. It demonstrates apparent system organization of F. M. Dostoevsky's and Gogol's spheres of concepts which are the most important part of their poetic manner.
