Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the elaboration of the theoretical model of political resocialization of the "middle" generation in post-Soviet society and reveals trends in post-Soviet political resocialization in Ukrainian society on the example of teacher's generation, formed in the 1970-1980's. Developed theoretical model of political resocialization directs the research at studying the state of political resocialization of a person through the adaptability to new social and political relations. An empirical characteristics of the generation's representatives which achieved successful or unsuccessful resocialization's state are presented. In particular defined, that the respondents with the successful resocialization are characterized by a more positive evaluations of existing social and political institutions, a more critical attitude to the Soviet model of political system and a more optimistic perception of the future. It was found, that among the factors that determine the state of political resocialization of a person the most important are person's evaluations of changes in the conditions of individual life - especially socio-economic status and general emotional state of a person.
