Essay

The dissertation highlights the theoretical and practical problems of functioning mass media and communication as an institute of civil society. It is proved that mass media in the period of worsening political conflicts including the conditions of the so called hybrid war have to favour the consolidation of Ukrainian society and act in the information environment in one direction - the defense of national interests, rights and freedoms of a person and citizen.
