Object - the process of teaching Natural Sciences and Mathematics to senior pupils; the aim - to work out and substantiate the mode of creative cognitive activity development in senior pupils directed at progressive forming of creative cognitive skills starting from reproductive level and raising them to the creative level in the process of studying the theoretical component of the content of Natural Sciences and Mathematics ; methods - historical-comparative, theoretical, experimental; novelty - the research is the first to work out and substantiate the procedural and operational mode of creative cognitive activity development in senior pupils in the process of teaching Natural Sciences and Mathematics within the framework of the theory of teaching pupils creative cognitive activity; the methodology of progressive development of creative cognitive skills in senior pupils - from reproductive to the highest creative level in the process of studying the theoretical component of the content of Natural Sciences and Mathematics has been improved; the theory of creative cognitive activity development in senior pupils in the process of teaching Natural Sciences and Mathematics has acquired further study; the data concerning the laws of interaction between reproduction and quality in cognitive activity, in particular the issues of correlation between reproductive and creative cognitive activity in the process of teaching have been specified; results - the researched mode of creative cognitive activity development in senior pupils in the process of teaching Natural Sciences and Mathematics based on the theoretically substantiated didactic principles has been experimentally tested and is recommended for the implementation in the secondary school teaching process for teaching senior pupils creative procedures, acts and actions allowing for their transition from the fixed level to the following higher levels considering different aspects of knowledge (notions, laws, principles, statements, rules). The theoretical statements and practical data of the research will be helpful to the pedagogical staff of teacher training institutions of the II-IV levels of accreditation, for the professional development courses for teachers, for writing textbooks, teaching manuals, course, diploma and Master degree papers and for teaching Mathematics, Physics, Informatics in higher education institutions; field - pedagogy.
