Syrovatska M. The poetics of Yelisey Karpenko's drama

The subject of inquiry arе Ye. Karpenko's plays of the 1920-s : "White Nights", "Momot Nir", "At Autumn night", "At Holy Night", "In the Valley of Tears", "Edelweiss", "Soil". The purpose is to determine the main features of poetics of Ye. Karpenko's dramas as artistic integrity in the context of "new drama" that make it possible to explain specifics of artistic model of his plays. The research methods are cultural-historic, structural-semiotic and motif analysis. The results and novelty: for the first time is made an attempt to holistic studying the poetics of Ye. Karpenko's drama, in particular іt was as well discovered specificity and functions of title complex, motif system, mythopoetics. The field of application: the course of the History of the Ukrainian Literary of the twentieth century, in particular special courses in studying Ukrainian drama of the beginning of the twentieth century.
