Object: normative and innovative Polish idioms to denote lifetime periods of man. Objective: study of the structure, composition and dynamics of the idiomatic and semantic field to denote lifetime periods of man in in the Polish language. Methods: descriptive and analytical, componential analysis, method of oppositions, distributive, contextual and semantic analysis, statistical calculations. Scientific novelty: a complex analysis of Polish idioms to denote lifetime periods of man within idiomatic and semantic field is carried out for the first time. The practical value: possibility to use in teaching the courses "Phraseology of the Modern Polish Language", "Lexicology of the Modern Polish Language", "Lexicography of the Modern Polish Language", "Culture of the Polish Language", "Major Tendencies in the Development of the Modern Polish language".
