Shevchuk K. The Substantiation of specific elements of melon's growing technology in conditions of Southern Steppe of Ukraine

Object: features of change processes in plant growth and development and melon yield formation depending on the investigated technological elements of cultivation with using drip irrigation. Objective: to study and improvement of the individual elements and methods of melons growing technology in a South Steppe of Ukraine Novelty: for the first time, the optimal elements of technology are established and a high-assortment is recommended for the conditions of South Steppe of Ukraine. Results: It is recommended to grow melon hybrids Constanta F1 and and Roxolana F1 and Titovka variety, that provided high yields: 44.7; 51.7 and 38.9 t / ha and product quality.It is revealed strong (r> 0,7) correlations between yield, average weight of the fruit and other growth parameters. The expediency of seedlings melon growing in trays is proved. It is established, that for Constanta F1 hybrid seedlings growing in size of cassettes cells 2х2 cm, and Titovka variety - 4,5х4,5 cm and 7 cm х7, it was provided yield increasing compared to growing without seedlings at 13.3 ; 8.5 and 10.6 t / ha. The most effective layout of plants is 2,4 + 0,4х0,5 m - 50.5 t / ha for Constant F1 hybrid, 41,9 t / ha for Lada variety and 43.4 t / ha for Titovka variety. Conventionally net profit was 104.72; 69.84 and 72.63 thousand UAH / ha.
