Strilets V. Revolutionary Committees in Poltava Province (December 1919 - April 1920): Historic and Law Research.

The thesis deals with based mainly on archive documents and materials comprehensive research of revolutionary committees functioning as a uniform system in the Poltava province in December 1919 - April 1920. The peculiarities of forming revolutionary committees at province, county, district and village levels are revealed. Soviet Russia's military authorities' and the Bolshevik Party's role in this process is determined. Revolutionary committees' structure and competence are analysed. Revolutionary committees' relationships with political parties and non-governmental organizations are shown. Forms and methods of revolutionary committees' activity are researched. Revolutionary committees' establishing Soviet rules in the province, peculiarities of their activity in economic, social and cultural spheres are examined. Revolutionary committees' role in preparing and holding elections to Soviets is determined.
