Essay

Object – pathogenesis of fever; aim – structural-functional changes of kidneys, role of the cytokines in pathogenesis of fever development of adult rats with pathogenetic rationale of new methods of therapy, decrease of kidney injury degree during the first stage of fever by use of mexidol and thiotriazolin; methods – experimental, physiological, chemical, biochemical, histological, immunoenzymatic, statistical; results – it is established, that dose 25 µk/kg is the most optimal for the study of fever stages. More integrated processes of the glomerular-tubular and tubular-tubular balances of kidneys are identified under the conditions of the second fever stage, reflecting the exertion of the organisms’ compensatory mechanisms, directed to the providing by fever its biological role. More significant protective effect on the functional state of kidneys of mexidol comparing to that of thiatriazolin during the first fever stage was identified and ability of these drugs to increase succinate dehydrogenase activity in the cortical part of kidneys is shown.
