The dissertation deals comprehensive study of the "new wave" of Ukrainian drama of the late twentieth and early twenty-first century through the prism of art modeling images of young heoroes. It was revealed connectivity specifics of young Ukrainian drama with specified directions of genre searches and synthesis in the works of the young generation playwrights. It was determined the ratio of tradition and innovation in the development of images and characters. It was determined patterns of actualization of the basic guidelines of artistic memory and how to modify them.
