Essay

This article examines a range of issues concerning problems of this principle and ways to improve this aspect of criminal policy. We prove that this is the leading principle in the criminal law defines the purpose of punishment, and as punishment, according to the individual characteristics of the persons who committed the crime. During the analysis found that while the current system of penalties does not account fully the personal qualities of individuals who have committed a crime that affects the efficiency of the whole system of punishment when his goal in many cases becomes unattainable. This fact also contributes to a "crisis" punishment, and that individualization prisoners should help solve the problem.
