Krivorchuk I. Acute arterial mesenteric ischemia: diagnostic features, treatment and ways of their correction

The thesis contains a new approach to the solution of actual problems of modern surgery - reducing the mortality of patients with acute arterial mesenteric ischemia by improving methods of diagnosis and treatment. Conducted clinical-statistical analysis of the results of treatment of patients with acute arterial mesenteric ischemia (AMI), defined risk group for the development of this pathology. Estimated informative cooperationin diagnostic methods based on the measure of sensitivity and specificity, defined the value of the time factor and its correlative relationship with mortality in patients with acute arterial mesenteric ischemia (index admission not later than 6 hours from the onset of complaints can be informative for the prediction of survival (r - 0,65; p<0.001), demonstrated the role of visceral revascularization in the prediction of survival of patients with this pathology (r = 0.32; p=0,18) . Developed and scientifically-proved algorithm for differential diagnosis and treatment of acute arterial depending on the form of AMI, the stage of the disease, informative methods of diagnosis and treatment, its appreciated efficiency (reducing mortality by almost 14 %). Improved methods of prevention to reduce the risk of acute arterial mesenteric ischemia.
