Essay

The thesis is devoted to improve the efficiency of organ-sparing treatment of various forms of chronic tonsillitis using high-energy laser and to study the corresponding reactions of patients by its usage. A clinical and laboratory evaluation of patients were studied with the parameters of local (secretory immunoglobulin A, lysozyme) and general immunity (phagocytosis), microbiocenosis of tonsils and cytokine profiles. It was proposed a point system of evaluation of signs of chronic tonsillitis for the objectification of clinical pictures and evaluation of its dynamics under the influence of the proposed treatment. To determine the size of the tonsils and the possibility of using tonsillotomy, firstly a method and a device were developed that allowed to objectify hypertrophy of tonsils in each case. At first a utility model of chronic tonsillitis was developed, which was to be pre-sensitized in the laboratory animals by standardized sensitizing agent, in which killed standardized reference - strains of Staphylococcus aureus № 209P (ATCC 6538P) were used. Afterward the infective exercise was implemented through diurnal living cells by the above-mentioned strain twice. It was proposed new methods of laser actions on inflamed palatine tonsils of patients with various forms of chronic tonsillitis. It was shown that the use of high-energy semiconductor laser leads to consistent and pronounced positive effect on clinical and laboratory parameters that were studied.
