Essay

The experimental data on studying the influence of various processing methods for fattening of young pigs on their performance is presented. The effectiveness of pigs fattening has been investigated under different conditions: various consistency and multiplicity of forage mixture distribution, livestock density, the number of animals in the stall and floor type. The results of the studies are given: on weekly growth evaluation, feed costs per 1 kg of body weight gain of young fattening pigs that were fattened according to different processing methods. The parameters and chemical composition of slaughter products of fattening young pigs, and economic parameters of pork production are investigated. On commercial farms on industrial base under mass production it is recommended to fatten young pigs with liquid complete forage mixtures with twelvefold feeding per day, while keeping animals in stalls on partially or completely slotted floor with stall area of 0.72 m2 per head, which provides the increase of returns and profitability level of pork production.
