Balakhovska G. Development of methodology of Literature in Oleksandr Mazurkevich's pedagogical legacy (1913 - 1995)

The dissertation works with the subject of Mazurkevich's contribution to the foundation and development of Ukrainian Literature teaching in school. The dissertation considers the life and scientific and pedagogical work of the scientist, it also defines and analyses the facts which favoured Mazurkevich's literary and methodological concept: the study of theoretical works about the Ukrainian Literature teaching techniques, the research about different issues of literature education, the history of Ukrainian Literature, pedagogical ideas of the prominent Ukrainian writers. The work analyses historical grounds of methodology, problems of methodology of teaching as a science in Oleksandr Mazurkevych's pedagogical works. Thoroughly analyzed and defined the essence that was worked out by Oleksandr Mazurkevych methodological system of teaching literature at school based on the individual work, understanding of techniques, methods, ways of teaching literature, their creative combination, connection with advanced pedagogical improvement of educational programmes and textbooks.
