The dissertation theoretically grounded and experimentally tested method of formation of communicative abilities of pupils 5 - 6 classes through language means of textbooks in mathematics. The survey results give reason to say that communication skills of pupils as a set of conscious communication activities aimed at obtaining, comprehension, understanding, learning, using, transferring and handling of information, and acquired knowledge in training activities, using linguistic construction of different forms of monologue and dialogue statements, are base of communicative competence, mastery of which contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of cognitive activity in general. The proposed method of forming the communicative skills of pupils 5 - 6 classes consists in learning of phrase and sentences of problem-oriented, knowledge-based texts in tutorial through verbalization solving different types of mathematical problems. It helps to form skills in handling mathematical language for solving urgent communication problems in learning, verbal cognitive activity, improve your overall language development of students, creating favorable conditions for deepening inter-subject relation.
