Methods: comparative-historical, psychological, textual-analytical, typological, biographical. Scientific novelty: at first in the literary science M. Novitskyi's role in the development of study of Ukrainian literature in 1920th-1960th using a wide range of archival materials is found. Approved in 12 publications.
