Troinikova N. Historical and biographical sketches-portraits by M. Aldanov: problematic range and poetics.

The object is forty sketches-portraits and the philosophical treatise "A night in Ulm"; the aim is to elicit the ideological and artistic specificity of M. Aldanov's sketches-portraits; the methods are unified, motif, comparative and typological, intertextual analysis of artistic works; the novelty consists in defining the ideological and artistic originality of M Aldanov's sketches-portraits in the context of his historical and philosophical concept; the genre nature of these works has been interpreted; their typology has been developed and justified; the specificity and the forms of existence of the "other" words have been characterized; the specific relationships between the prosaist's novels, short stories, tales and his sketch heritage of the 1920-1930s have been defined; the writer's place in the Russian literature of the twentieth century has been specified; the results can be applied while studying the Russian biographical prose and sketch literature of the twentieth century in higher schools, special courses and seminars, while working on term papers, Master's works as well as in the further research of M. Aldanov's heritage; the branch of science is philology.
