Bugayova N. Urban motifs in V. Shevchuk's prose

The object: lirerary works of V. Shevchuk, which clearly connected with urban motives; The aim: to make a complete analysis of the prose of V. Shevchuk to identify urban motives in his literary works; The method: selection and ordering material, biographical, historical, cultural-historical, hermeneutic, systematic and comprehensive methods; The novelty: for the first time the literary works of V. Shevchuk in aspects of urban literature are analyzed; the definition of term "the urban motif" in the context of studying the works of Vladimir Shevchuk us characterized; The results: the terminological meaning of "urban text" in the context of understanding the nature of Zhytomyr and Kyiv in his novels is improved; further development of applications in literary meaning of consepts "topos" and "locus" are done; The branch: Ukrainian literature.
