Essay

Dissertation is focused on the complex analysis of the place and role of migration in contemporary political process. The thesis reveals the theoretical and methodological basis of the study of the relationship between migration and political processes. It is shown meaning of the term migration in the context of political science. Politically migration is the movement of people across national borders to change of residence, under which the political reality is changing state or region. Thus, there is an important observation, migration does not apply to any type of political activity, it can only be associated with political activity in the sense that entails certain political activities or vice versa causing political action by implementing policy. Proved that migration is a part of the political process, which is manifested in its politicization and political is acquiring it. It is studied the features of modern migration processes and their influence on the political sphere of the reception. On the issue of political participation of migrants attention focused on the European Union as one of the main poles, where issues such participation is very serious. It is studied the main forms of political participation of migrants in receiving countries: participation in the electoral process, political parties, counseling (in a formal and informal basis, individually and collectively) with government officials, regional and local authorities, political parties, public organization and other members of society, of associations based on various kinds of common interest and participation in non-institutional forms of political activity. Also proved that the forms of political participation of migrants mostly and primarily depend on the structure of political opportunities that exist at a given time in a given society.
