Essay

The thesis is devoted to searching for new anticonvulsants among 2,5,6-substituted pyrimidine-4(3H)-one (thione) derivatives. As the result of conducting a research a series of new 2,5,6-substituted pyrimidine-4(3H)-one (thione) have been synthesized, among which substances with significant anticonvulsant activity were found. The most active compound – Epirimil (N-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-{[2-methyl-6-(pyridine-2-yl)pyrimidine-4-yl]thio}аcetamide) has been defined. Physicochemical properties of Epirimil have been investigated and methods of its identification and assay have been developed.
