The thesis is the devoted to the complex pharmacognostic study of common peony of varieties “Rosea plena” and “Alba plena” leaves and rhizomes with roots, creation of new phytoremedies on their basis, the quality control methods for the plant material and phytoremedies working out. The qualitative composition and quantitative content of the main groups of biologically active compounds were determined in the plant material studied. Tinctures of the studied plant material types were obtained. The quality control methods for the plant material and a phytoremedy on the basis of common peony’s “Alba plena” variety leaves were worked out. The antimicrobial activity of the created phytoremedies was proven.
